Summary

Regardless of the sport, dental athletic injuries are commonplace. Preventing, stabilizing and treating is incumbent on any team dentist, and the ability to address traumatic injuries as a result should be within the abilities of any general dentist.

In this presentation, Dr. Cuong Tran will bring his expertise as a team dentist to present different types of dentofacial injuries, both on the field/court/ice or off. This presentation will help all dentists address trauma cases, whether a slap shot to the mouth or a fall from a bicycle. In addition, mouth guard fitting and patient considerations will be addressed.
